This series of acrylic paintings are portraits of pop star icons which are rendered in paint using weird, low-tech, imaginary formats. The general idea was to explore my media experience of the pop stars - I don't know them personally, only via classic mediums of TV antennae, 8-bit video games, vinyl records, etc. In the end I'm not sure if my nostalgia is rooted in the person/subject, or perhaps also in the experienced medium. One of the portraits is obvious, the others you have to figure out for yourself :)
